I know this is an older post, but I love you recommendations and I agree with them all. It also gives me a warm fuzzy as I go down the list and say "Check. Check. Check." I've been podcasting for about 9 months now and I especially believe in the personality and passion points (#5 & #6). We talk primarily 80s movies but we've gotten a lot of comments from people who love listening to us but haven't really seen the movies. I have a podcast called the weekly facial that is up on iTunes and i've just had a read through your tips. We're 30 episodes in and due to listeners we've pretty much ironed out all of our weaknesses.

All the tips you've given are valid and if you're about to go into podcasting take these into consideration!
